PLC simulator: ladder logic that runs real machines in 3D

Write a ladder program and watch it run a bottling line, a manufacturing plant or a robot cell in 3D - sensors, cylinders, conveyors and all. Then wire the control cabinet and run a process plant from its control room.

Ladder logic

Contacts, coils, latches, one-shots, timers (TON, TOF), counters (CTU, CTD), compares, MOV and ADD, with branches - the instructions engineers use on site.

A real scan cycle

Inputs read, rungs solved top to bottom, outputs written. Force inputs and outputs and watch the rungs light up as they conduct.

Machines in 3D

A seven-station bottling line, a manufacturing plant and a robot cell with ISO cylinders, clamps, presses, conveyors and photo-eyes.

Robot cells

The PLC drives a six-axis robot taught with a teach pendant and a simple robot language.

Panel Builder

Breakers, contactors, overloads, PLCs and terminals on DIN rails, ducts and numbered wires - then switch on and test with a multimeter.

Plant Simulator

An oil and gas production facility in 3D run by a live process simulation, with a control room, alarms, shut-downs and faults to find.

Training without the risk

Commissioning mistakes on a real line cost parts, time and sometimes fingers. In the PLC Simulator the same mistakes cost nothing: a jammed bottle, a cylinder that never reaches its reed switch, a counter that never resets - you see it happen in 3D and fix the rung. The ready environments come with their programs, from a first lesson to the full line.

Control panels to industrial standard

Panel Builder lays out a cabinet the way it is built in the workshop and draws its schematic as you wire. PLC families come with the same I/O and addressing as the controllers engineers meet on site - S7-1200, Micro800, CompactLogix, FX5U, CP1E and M221 class - so the addresses in the program match the terminals you wired. Run the safety check, switch the mains on and measure.

Run a process plant

The Plant Simulator puts you in the control room of an oil and gas production facility: separators, compressors and pumps run by a live process simulation. Alarms sound, trips shut sections down, and faults are hidden for plant, maintenance and control engineers to find.

Questions

Which PLC brands does it simulate?

The ladder instructions are the common ones used across brands. Panel Builder's PLC families follow the I/O and addressing of S7-1200, Micro800, CompactLogix, FX5U, CP1E and M221 class controllers. They are our own drawings - no brand software is needed or included.

Is it good for PLC training centres?

Yes - it was made by engineers who teach on modular PLC training consoles. See schools and labs.

Can it drive a robot?

Yes. The robot cell's six-axis arm runs its own robot program and the PLC starts it, waits for it and reacts to its signals.
