Getting Litmux Studio
What is Litmux Studio?
One app for designing and making: 2D and 3D CAD, PCB design and milling, circuit and Arduino simulation, PLC and robot simulation, IoT apps and courses. It is made by Litmux Technologies in Ghana for engineers, makers, teachers and learners. See all features.
Which computers does it run on?
Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit) and Macs with Apple silicon (M1 and later). Builds for Intel Macs and Linux are coming. See Download.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Create your account and every app opens for 7 days on that computer. No payment is needed to try.
Does it need the internet?
Only to sign in, to buy and to check your licence now and then. A paid plan checks in at least once a month; everything else works offline.
Plans and payment
How much does it cost?
There are Student, Maker, Pro and School / Lab plans, monthly or yearly, in Ghana cedis or US dollars. See Pricing.
How do I pay?
With Mobile Money (MTN, Telecel, AirtelTigo) or by card, in the app or in your account. Litmux never sees your PIN or card number.
Can I stop automatic renewal?
Yes, any time: your account → Manage renewal → Cancel. Your plan runs to its end date and nothing more is taken.
Can I use it on more than one computer?
Each plan says how many computers can use it at once. Sign out on one computer and sign in on another whenever you like.
Files and other tools
Which file formats can I use?
Gerber RS-274X and Excellon drill files in and out, G-code, DXF in and out, SVG import, STEP in and out, STL, PDF drawings, JLCPCB BOM and pick-and-place files, footprints from KiCad .kicad_mod files and boards exported as KiCad projects.
Can I order PCBs from a factory?
Yes. The PCB Designer writes the production files JLCPCB asks for, including BOM and pick-and-place files for assembly. See PCB design.
Can I upload to a real Arduino?
Yes - Uno, Nano and Mega over USB, offline, with the compiler that comes with Litmux Studio. See the Arduino simulator.
Will my CNC router accept the G-code?
PCB Milling writes a plain G-code dialect with short file names that offline controllers accept. See PCB milling.
Litmux AI
What is Litmux AI?
An assistant inside the apps: it reads your circuit, program or board, answers questions, finds mistakes and can build circuits. New accounts get free credits and plans include more every month. An offline tutor runs on your own computer after a one-time download.
Can I use Claude with Litmux Studio?
Yes. Choose Help → Use Litmux Studio from Claude and Claude Desktop or Claude Code can use Litmux Studio's tools - CAD, PCB, circuits, robots - with your own Claude account.

Do you have licences for schools?
Yes - the School / Lab plan covers a whole lab, with Litmux Academy courses and certificates. See schools and labs.
